Life cycle assessment (LCA) is a method for quantifying environmental impacts of a product or a building. For architects and building designers this is an essential tool, if we wish to maximise our potential in the mitigation of climate change.
This course consists of online lectures and online tutoring. You will be calculating the carbon footprint of a building with LCA tool One Click LCA. We are providing two exemplary buildings for the course.
This course is worth minimum 2 credits. If you do broader life cycle analysis, there will be more credits. There will be no exam, but you need to complete and return a calculation report.
Because of the ongoing Covid pandemic, the course will be arranged online only.
