Topic outline

  • Welcome to the Course

Renewable Energy is not sustainable just as it is, but we will need to take into account many aspects of circular economy to ensure that renewable energy we produce and storage a sustainable. This is the focus on this course. You do not need to have previous knowledge of energy storage systems or circular economy (but they will be good background). The circular economy theory is then applied to different energy storage systems. Here we consider all circular economy layers, with the focus on the material design:

The whole course is fully online and can be taken also from other locations than from Finland. The theory sessions are online videos that all students can take a look with their own timetable. The course includes individual 4 modules, where students view videos, search and read material and apply their learning to their own energy storage application. Additionally, there is a final project where you can select the application you apply the theory yourself.

The course will begin on 6th June and the final DL for all submission is 19th August. So you can also take the course in your own speed.

Thus, if you are taking the course during the whole period, we propose that you follow the suggested Module DL (submission of all tasks of that module), as then we can provide you feedback from the previous submission.
