    Welcome to the Public Speaking Skills course!

    We will meet weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 13:15-15:30 from 6th September until 13th October. Only exception is the last week of September, please note that we won’t have class on Tue 27th and Thu 29th September. Instead, you will have time to work independently on an assignment. All our sessions will be online, the same Zoom link is for all sessions:

    The course will be interactive and very much hands-on work. During the course we will be doing various presentation and speech exercises. The first presentation will be about your research / area of expertise. You can think about the topic of your presentation before the first lesson, but you don't need to prepare anything in advance. We will start working on the presentations already during the first session, so it is good if you have some kind of an idea what your topic could be for this exercise.

    The course will have a pass / fail evaluation. For a successful completion of the course, you need to attend minimum 80% of the sessions and complete the course’s assignments. If you are sick or have some other insurmountable obstacle, please let me know by email (henriette.kervinen@aalto.fi) as soon as possible.
