  • Missed a Class?

    In order to deliver course credit points fair and square, the required course attendance rate is 100 %. However, things happen, don't worry, everything can be sorted out. If you miss a class for some reason, please contact Anni to discuss some compensating homework. This usually entails studying something topical from the research field but falls outside the scope of our current course literature. 

    It is strongly recommended that you choose a topic that interests you and that preferably also is useful for your current project (such as your Master's thesis or doctoral dissertation). 

    The recommended length of your essay is c. 600 words per one missed class. If you prefer, an oral presentation at one of the classes is also okay. In that case, the recommended length is c. 15 minutes per one missed class. 

    There are no strict deadlines for these compensation homework assignments: you get your credits when all the work is done. Please try to finalise the course by 31 December, however.

    Please note that due to the time limits of the course schedule, the oral presentations may have to be scheduled after the official course programme as a separate event.
