  • Course Introduction


    Warmly welcome to Renewable Energy Engineering course everyone!

    All materials related to our course can be found from these pages. We are very happy to be able to have the course in in-person mode, in the lecture room! Videos are also available from the last year, but we hope to see many of you personally in the lecture room. I hope we can put up shows that are worth coming to see.

    This course is now organized for the third time. We are still partly building new materials and making improvements based on last year's student feedback and assignments during the course. There should be a few measurement exercises organized for you, at least we'll we do some tests on the lectures. You are also going to have a chance to visit Piiparinmäki Wind Power Plant, using VR technology!

    I hope you enjoy the course and will learn useful things on wind, solar PV and heat pump technologies, their economics and role in the current and future energy systems. Please be active in giving us feedback during the course, and after the course in the official Webropol survey sent to you, this is very important for further developing the course and making it a nice experience for the you and future students.
