Topic outline

The grade from the course comes from a combination of group project works and and individual contributions.
Group work consists from a joint project, which is presented weekly on Fridays. It also has two deliverables (after weeks 3 and 6), which are graded on scale 1-5, with the following grading principles:
- 1 (passable) = project outcomes and/or the process have severe failures with poor interaction design and understanding of the users
- 2 (satisfactory) = project outcomes and/or the process have failures that demonstrate that important elements about the learning outcomes have not been fully understood or appreciated
- 3 (good) = The expected quality criteria are met in the project outcomes and in the methods. They are also reported in a clear manner. However the project does not demonstrate insights or originality.
- 4 (very good) = In addition to requirements for grade 3, the project has parts that have been carried out or conceptualised particularly well.
- 5 (excellent) = In addition to requirements for grade 4, the project has elements that are insightful, original and creative, and have been executed with a high quality.
Individual contributions may scale the grade from the group project up or down, or keep it unchanged. The following factors affect the final grade:
- Two short essays (after weeks 3 and 6): +1, 0, or -1 grade point
- Activeness in classes and tutor meetings: +1, 0, or -1 grade point
- Active and positive group work contribution: +1, 0, or -1 grade point
In lectures and tutoring, 80% minimum attendance is required from the beginning to the end of the teaching event.
If you need to be absent from a teaching event, inform about it before the event.
- 1 (passable) = project outcomes and/or the process have severe failures with poor interaction design and understanding of the users
