  • Week 2: Technology Perspective and Business Perspective

    Each group will choose problems worth solving (jobs to be done) identified on Week 1 to take further in the course. We will do quick rounds of ideation and prototyping to quickly test and prioritise early ideas. We also define the service model as an ecosystem solution that must be integrated with other (service) partners and bring value to people, tech partners and service providers. In groups we will: 

    • Define application context and target user
    • User journeys and jobs to be done
    • Prioritise jobs to be done and value proposition
    • Define the role of technology (Ideas generation)
    • Consolidate a service concept 
    • Map the service ecosystem

    Assignments

    DL Thursday 22.09

    • Summary of the group interviews and findings - Document with the findings of all group member interviews using the jobs statement format (JTBD) 
    • Ideation session - The team will meet before the 22.09 class to conduct an ideation session (note this can last from 30min -1h). This session aims at producing quick ideas in a short time around the selected and framed challenge. The team can choose any technique, i.e., Crazy 8s, Blossom x, Magic-o, etc. Ideas are visualised in low-fi sketches. Bring all ideas to the 22.09 class. 

    Between Friday 23rd - Monday 26th September.

    • Individual - Test your group idea with your research participants / take notes and write recommendations to share with the group and submit in the course assignments.


    DL Week 3

    • Book a time for your group with the Guest Lecturer - Luciana Terceiro - Wednesday to Friday.
    • Finalise your group prototype - Based on the discussion from Thursday 22nd, refine your prototype to facilitate discussions on the main questions you have about your service idea (Service Concept Deck)
    • Summarise the test findings with the group - Summarise the group testing interview findings in one document and write suggestions for the prototype during the week 3 and submit in the course assignments
