Topic 2023: Automatic Speaking Assessment

The course is targeted to students and researchers of all schools, in particular ELEC and SCI at both masters and doctoral levels.
Contents:
Automatic speaking assessment includes at least:
- automatic assessment and self-practice of pronunciation and other oral foreign language skills
- automatic analysis of speech sound disorders (e.g. children)
- speaking based screening of health issues (e.g. Parkinson)
- automatic speech recognition for special groups (language learners, children, speech sound disorders, health issues)
Typically these tasks are to support human expert classification in large-scale with the help of the latest machine learning methods.
