    • Compulsory course in master level major Sustainable Metals Processing 

      Contents: 

      • general flowsheet of a hydrometallurgical process,
      • unit operations in hydrometallurgy,
      • factors affecting operation of unit processes,
      • calculation of mass and energy balances,
      • flow-sheet modeling with HSC Sim.

      Course will consist of lectures, excercises and tutorials (listed below in table) as well as laboratory works (2 afternoons). Laboratory times (2*2.5h) will be booked separately on Monday or Tuesday afternoons (between 19.9 -11.10, see Section Laboratory exercises).

      Laboratory work and report writing (50 p)



      Course completion (max 140/150 points):

      *10 points - lecture questions, 30 points - HSC exercises (5*6 p), 50 points (5*10 p) exercises, 50 points - laboratory report, (+2 extra points if over 50% of participants give course feedback) + 10 points of the excursion.
