After completing the course, students are able to develop an interactive user interface that can be used as a prototype or an application for usability testing. Students know how to use user-centred principles, guidelines and patterns in the design and implementation of user interfaces.

    Content

The design and construction of interactive user interfaces. Use of basic user interface elements and style guides.

    Assessment Methods and Criteria

    Lectures and examination, exercises.

    Study Material

In order to improve access to learning material during Covid-19 restrictions, you may user either the book by Shneiderman & Plaisant (available from Aalto's library) or the book by Galitz (available online via Aalto's library access). Also in the exam you are asked to indicate which of the books you have been using.
