    This course is an introduction to diverse approaches to the notion of narrative, especially in the context of design and visual communication. The course consists of talks by designers, artists, writers, and researchers who introduce examples of narratives which work over multiple modes of communication, including but not limited to text, image, layout, typography, photography, choreography, and comics, as well as time-based media such as animation, games, and motion graphics. The course also includes critical examination of visual representation and the ubiquitous role of narratives in the contemporary society.
