    Tervetuloa ELEC-C1320 Robotiikka kurssille!

    Kurssi rakentuu luennoista, kotitehtävistä, laskutuvasta sekä teollisuusrobotin etäohjelmointiharjoituksesta (Robot Offline Programming Exercise). Kurssilla palataan lähiopetukseen eli luennot ja laskutupa ovat normaaliin tapaan salissa AS1 (poikkeus: avaususluento salissa TU2).  Kurssin avausluento pidetään torstaina 8.9. alkaen klo 14:15 salissa TU2 (tätä seuraavat luennot pidetään salissa AS1), jolloin käydään läpi tiivistetysti kurssin sisältö sekä muut oleelliset asiat. Kurssin luentokalvot julkistetaan MyCoursesissa. Muista kuin avausluennosta julkistetaan etukäteen tehdyt videonauhoitteet, joissa luennoitsija käy läpi luentokalvot. Itse kurssin lähiopetustapahtumia ei nauhoiteta, joten kaikki voivat vapaasti osallistua  salissa  opetustapahtuman kulkuun kysymyksien ja kommenttien muodossa.

    Kurssin arvosana rakentuu lopputentistä (60%), kotitehtävien ratkaisuista (20%) sekä etäohjelmointiharjoituksen jatko-osasta (main assignment) (20%).

    Hyväksytyn kurssisuorituksen ehtoina ovat vaadittavan minimipistemäärän ylittäminen sekä kurssin lopputentin pisteiden että kurssin kokonaispisteiden osalta. Lisäksi kurssin hyväksyttyä suoritusta varten pitää etäohjelmointiharjoituksen jatko-osasta (main assignment) saada vähintään puolet maksimipisteistä.

    Etäohjelmointiharjoitus tehdään itsenäisesti tai max. neljän hengen ryhmissä syys-marraskuun aikana. Tarkemmat ohjeet annettaan kurssin avausluennon yhteydessä sekä etäohjelmointiharjoituksen tehtävänantomateriaalien mukana.

    Kurssin ohjelmaan kuuluu myös laskutupa, joka järjestetään tiistai-iltaisin, klo 16-18, salissa AS1 alkaen 19.9. Laskutuvassa voi saada opastusta muun muassa kotitehtävien ratkaisemisessa.

    Kurssilla tarjotaan kaksi vaihtoehtoista aikaa kurssitentin suorittamiseksi: ma. 4.12.2023 klo. 16:30-19:30 salissa TU2 ja to. 7.12.2023 klo. 13-16 salissa AS2. Vaihtoehtoisista kurssitenttiajankohdista tulee valita toinen. Molempiin ei ole lupaa osallistua. Ensimmäinen uusintatentti järjestetään ma. 8.1.2024.

    Welcome to the ELEC-C1320 Robotiikka/ELEC-D1320 Robotics course!

    (Note: Non-Finnish speaking students taking the course are given the course code ELEC-D1320. So, non-Finnish speaking students please assign to course ELEC-D1320 in SISU. In this way you are credited for passing a course the teaching language of which is English. During the course all communication and exchange of information is realized through the MyCourses pages of the course ELEC-C1320.

    The course consists of lectures (same content lectured both in Finnish, Thursdays 14-16 o’clock, and in English, Thursdays 16-18 o’clock), homework problems, calculation exercises (laskutupa) and industrial robot offline programming exercise (Robot Offline Programming Exercise).  Lectures will be offered on the campus, in the lecture hall AS1. Calculation exercises will be held on Tuesdays 16-18 o'clock in lecture hall AS1 (first time 19.9).  More details about the course matters are given in the English language opening lecture of the course, on Thursday 7.9 at 16:15 o'clock in lecture hall AS1.

    The lecture slides and prerecorded lecture videos are published on the MyCourses pages (however no video for the course opening lecture). The actual onsite lecture events are NOT recorded so you free to actively participate to the lectures by asking questions and giving comments.

    Note that the lectures or calculation exercises are NOT compulsory.

    The grade of the course is determined by the final exam (60%), solutions for the homework problems (20%) and “main assignment” part of the offline programming exercise (20%).

    To pass the course the minimum threshold level of points must be earned both with respect to the final exam and the total points of the course. Also, from the “main assignment” part of the offline programming exercise a minumum of half of the maximum points of the exercise must be acquired to pass the course.

    The offline programming exercise will be carried out individually or in groups of max four persons during September-November. More details will be given in the slides of the opening lecture and especially in the offline programming exercise task description material.

    On the robotics course, we offer two alternative dates for the course exam: Monday, 4.12.2023, 16:30-19:30 o'clock in lecture hall TU2 and Thursday, 7.12.2023, 13-16 o'clock in lecture hall AS2. You are free to choose one of the course exams. You are not allowed to take both of the course exams. The first retake exam is arranged on Monday, 8.1.2024.
