    Welcome to the Soft Condensed Matter Physics course! You will learn about soft matter in general with many examples from everyday life, technology, and nature, and get a comprehensive understanding of the physics of colloids, polymers, liquid droplets, surfactants, and wetting. The course will compose of in-class lectures and exercise sessions, group work and presentations, as well as guest presentations by researchers in the field. The course will end with a written exam. 

    Robin Ras and Matilda Backholm are the main teachers of this course. The first lecture is on the 8th of January 2024.

    We will use the book "Soft condensed matter" by R. A. L. Jones.

    Fereshteh Sohrabi and Henri Savolainen will be the TAs of the course. The exercise sessions (Thursdays at 14-16) will i) go through the correct solutions to the previous exercise and ii) give hints to how to solve the upcoming exercise. We will not hand out model solutions for the exercises.
