Topic outline

  • In this course, you will acquire essential insights and skills to serve as a management communication consultant and coach! ;)

The training is based on self-learning and group work, and we only have three mandatory meetings. Hence you are expected to study the readings before each meeting, and work on the assignments in your own time. Also make sure that you are able to come to meetings at the given times.

If you have any questions related to the training that are not covered on this site and the syllabus below, you can reach us (the instructors) via email at siddhant.ritwick@aalto.fi and kirsi.eraranta@aalto.fi

    • Project teams will be formed during the first meeting. After that, please enrol yourself to a given team here, before the submission of the team contract. Thanks!

    • Make a submission

Submit your initial Team Charter here. Collaboratively define and agree on the "5 R’s" for your project team.

      1. Results (the objectives and expected deliverables of the project team)
      2. Roles (specific team member roles based on the identification of individual strengths etc.)
      3. Rules (expectations regarding acceptable behaviour by project team members, e.g. communication guidelines, meeting guidelines, decision-making criteria, conflict resolution, potential sanctions)
      4. Responsibilities (the assigned duties and expected work of each team member)
      5. Relationships (specific relationships - both internal to the project team and external with stakeholders -  that are essential for acquiring and providing resources needed to accomplish tasks; e.g. feedback)

(The first three R's are crucial, and if desired, you can opt to offer a more detailed definition of Responsibilities and Relationships within the Project Proposal.)
