  • Welcome to the course

    The aim of the course is to give understanding on making process: Process development; Preliminary and Basic design. This course will help you to perform Practical Design Project form industry in Master education as well as skills in process design, hand calculations, Aspen simulation and ability to work in the chemical process industry. 

    In this course, you will learn the design methodology, process development, preliminary and basic design. The focus will be in information searching, process selection, process and equipment sizing, process flow diagrams (PFD), piping and Instrumentation (PI) diagrams, costs and profitability calculations, heat integration (pinch), mechanical unit operations, safety and environmental aspects in design, documents created in design and the tools needed in design. In addition, Aspen Plus process simulation (flow sheeting) program will allow you to practice simulation, process design and analysis and costs estimation.
