  • Despite the name, the course is a laboratory-only course (no lectures).

Briefly, lab days are Tuesdays and Thursdays in the teaching period I. You will need 5-6 separate lab sessions to complete the experiments. One of the labs will take both the lab days of a same week, otherwise you can choose between the offered hours (daily space limit). Some labs will take half a day, others a full day.

Update on Sep 5: Laboratory works begin on Tuesday, 12th of September. Reservation of the slots opens on Wed the 6th right after the info session (info begins at 1.30 pm, as an online Zoom session. Pls see the link under the section "Course Introduction".

Note that the Tuesday info is cancelled due to sudden illness.

In addition, exercises regarding the lab works and one report must be submitted and get approved to pass the course.

The course is intended for students studying in the Chemistry major. Others may join as well if prerequisites are fullfilled and space exists. The space limit is 15 students (with the exception that all Chemistry major students will be accepted).

Meanwhile, you can contact Eeva-Leena Rautama (responsible teacher) for any questions related to this course.
