Topic outline

  • This year the lecture series is carried out as a collaboration of the professorships of Sustainable Construction and Housing Design, and deals with the topic of Circular Construction.

     

    In various lectures by internal and external specialists and experts, the different aspects, strategies and challenges of circular construction are presented and discussed. After a general introduction to circular economy and circular building and design, topics such as "Reversible Design", "Design for availability", "Adaptive Structures and Systems", "Buildings as Material Banks" and many more are covered.

     

    The introduction is on Thursday January 11th at 9.15 in Väre F101.

     

    Lectures take place on Thursdays from 09:15 to 11:00. Lectures will be held on campus unless advised otherwise. Lectures are not recorded. Please note that not all lectures will be shared in MyCourses after.

     

    The lectures are accompanied by reading assignments and analysis tasks in groups.

     

    The language of this course is English and the course is evaluated on a pass/fail basis.
