    During the construction documents course, students will get to know the construction process and its different phases. The course main objective is to present the importance of well-designed drawings and details as a vital part of the profession of an architect. The course also emphasizes on how to translate ideas into drawings and details, which eventually will be constructed into a building. 

    During this course, the students learn to design a building at the level of working drawings and detail drawings. A construction specification is drafted. 

    Once passed the course, students will have a good basic knowledge of execution planning in a building project and the skills to prepare the required documentation. 

    The scope of the course and the level of detailing required depends on the scope of the building project and is to be agreed separately with the teacher. Done independently or in pairs. Completion of the course requires attending the exercise session and lectures. The course is part of the electives of the major in architecture, and it should be taken during the 1st or 2nd year of studies of the masterʼs degree. The course is compulsory for those doing their masterʼs thesis in building design.

    Kurssi on avoin vain arkkitehtuurin laitoksen tutkinto-opiskelijoille.

    Kurssilla on kaksi erillistä toteutuskertaa vuodessa (syksy ja kevät). Pakollinen ilmoittautuminen tapahtuu jakson alkuun mennessä (tarkat päivämäärät Sisussa).  

    Ohjaus tapahtuu erillisen ajanvarauslistan puitteissa. Kesällä ei ole ohjausta eikä töitä arvostella.

    Työnohjauspaikat ovat Väre J302, Tiedekulma Helsingissä tai muu opettajan osoittama paikka.

    Olosuhteiden pakosta tai opiskelijoiden toiveesta voidaan myös tarjota etäohjausta erillisten ohjeiden ja mahdollisuuksien mukaan. Linkki etäohjaukseen (Google hangout) työnohjauksen ajanvarauslomakkeella.

    Ohjeet ja arvosteluperusteet kts. opetusmoniste / Muu materiaali. Suoritukseen vaadittavan oppimispäiväkirjan palautuslaatikko sekä ohjeet löytyvät "Assignments" -sarakkeesta.

    Rakennusten toteutussuunnittelu -kurssi on pakollinen maisteriopiskelijoille, jotka aloittavat opintonsa syksyllä 2022 tai seuraavat 2022-2024 opetintosunnitelmaa. Muussa tapauksessa kurssi on pakollinen niille opiskelijoille, jotka tekevät diplomityönsä rakennussuunnittelun aihepiiristä.

    The course is open only for the degree students of the department of Architecture. The course is recurring biannually (autumn and spring). Enrolling is obligatory in the beginning of the course (Sisu). 

    There is no tutoring or evaluation during summer. 

    Tutoring in Väre J302, in Tiedekulma Helsinki or other location appointed by teacher.

    If required, distance tutoring is also provided, when possible. Link to Google hangout distance tutoring on appointment registration form.

    Construction documents is mandatory for all students beginning their studies in autumn term 2022 and those who follow 2022-2024 curriculum. For other students it is mandatory in case their thesis in the field of Building design.

    The scope of the course depends on the size of the subject and is agreed at the beginning of the course. Completion of the course requires attendance at teaching events as well as independent work.

    Opintojakson jälkeen opiskelija hallitsee rakennusten toteutukseen tarvittavien asiakirjojen laatimisen.

    After the course, the student masters the basics of the implementation design of buildings and the preparation of the documents required for implementation.The student outlines the tasks of an architect during construction sites.

    Rakennuksen suunnittelu työ- ja osapiirustusten tarkkuudella. Rakennustapaselostuksen laadinta. Johdatus arkkitehdin työmaa-aikaisiin tehtäviin.

    Design of a building with the precision of working and partial drawings. Preparation of a building report. Introduction to the architect's on-site duties.

    Toteutus, työmuodot ja arvosteluperusteet

    Harjoitustyö. Aikataulu ja luovutettavat asiakirjat sovitaan kurssin opettajan kanssa. Arvosteluperusteita ovat työn arkkitehtoniset ansiot, detaljien soveltuvuus hankkeeseen, rakennusteknisten ratkaisujen toimivuus ja kosteus- yms. riskien hallinta, tuotettujen dokumenttien luettavuus sekä se, miten ne täyttävät kullekin asiakirjalle annetun tehtävän.

    Kurssi on pakollinen, jos diplomityö tehdään rakennussuunnittelun aihealueelta, myös teoriapuolella, esim. tutkimus tjs. Vain arkkitehtuurin laitoksen opiskelijoille. Kurssi suositellaan suoritettavaksi vasta jonkin rakennussuunnittelustudion jälkeen, mutta ennen diplomityön aloittamista.
