  • Leading as Practice -course is aimed to students who are interested in learning more about leadership as a conceptual and practical social phenomenon, and to enhance and develop personal thinking of leadership from relational and constructive perspectives. The course is a mandatory for students having Organizational Design and Leadership (ODL) as their major or minor.

    The course consists of two larger personal essays, six so called mini-essays serving as preparation for the lectures, a group assignment, and nine lectures. The course will start with the opening lecture on 16.1. at 9.15-12 in TUAS Building (Maarintie 8), lecture room TU5.

    The opening lecture is followed by the first personal essay - the Introduction essay.  The purpose of the Introduction essay is to ensure that the participants will have similar enough pre-knowledge at the start. The Introduction essay must be passed in order to be allowed to continue on the course. The due time of the Introduction essay is the 26th of January at 2 pm. You will find the assignment for the essay in the Assignment -folder. We recommend that you will start to familiarise yourself with the materials as early as possible - even before the official start of the course.

The most important is that you'll mark the lecture dates and essay/assignment deadlines to your personal calendar. We strongly wish that you decide to attend to the classes. The lectures will form a major element in your learning from the course.
