    • Collaboration, goals & schedule
      • At the first meeting with your supervisor and/or advisor, it is recommended to create a supervision plan to support the cooperation between you, supervisor (and advisor, if included). Creating the supervision plan is voluntary and the template can be edited. See supervision plan template here (coming later).
      • Take ownership of the cooperative relationship with your supervisor, communicate regularly with them, and ask for feedback on your work. Keep your supervisor informed of any significant changes in the schedule and contents of your thesis.
      • Work on your thesis according to your goals and schedule.

    • What if the supervisor and/or topic and/or advisor change during the thesis work? If the supervisor changes, contact Learning Services at studentservices@aalto.fi. If topic and/or advisor(s) change, contact your supervisor. They can return the topic and/or advisor(s) status in the system to you for editing. After you have edited the information and submitted it, the supervisor must handle the topic/advisor request in the system.
