    Preliminary schedule

    The seminar will be arranged in periods IV-V spring 2024 on campus. 

    First seminar session: 2024-02-26 10:15-12:00

    Last seminar session: 2024-05-06 10:15-16:00

    The sessions are arranged on Mondays at 10-12, with few exceptions, see schedule for details.

    Seminar description

    The overarching theme of this seminar in software and service engineering is software and society. We will consider how creation, use, and abuse of software impacts individuals, organizations, and society at large. 

    Introduction to the theme: Introduction section of Chapter 1 (pages 1-4) of "If... then: Algorithmic power and politics" by Bucher (2018).
