    Dear Students,

    Welcome to the course of Electrical Energy Storage Systems

    Kurssin idea

    This is a joint course between Aalto School of Engineering (ENG),  Aalto School of Electrical Engineering (ELEC) and University of Turku Energy Materials to study closely the interfaces of electrical production and consumption systems and energy storages. This course is very multidisciplinary and will invite students from different backgrounds jointly applying their knowledge on electricity storage cases. 

    This course only works in contact mode and begins at 9.1.2024. We have theory contact sessions on Tuesday mornings from 8.30-10.00 am  and Thursday afternoon 14-16 pm. Whereas for the teamwork, we will have two options for the year 2024 -choose only one option- on your own preference: 

    1) Contact team work: Contact Poster workshop groups on 3 Tuesdays [16.1; 30.1; 13.2] 10-12 am in Otaniemi (only Aalto Schools) after the lecture OR

    2) Online team work: Online poster workshops on 3 Thursday [18.1; 1.2;15.2] 14-16 for teams between Aalto and UTU in zoom

    We will explain more and divide the groups at the first session on 9th January 2024. 

    Note that the course does not have an exam, but we do have: 

    Final seminar for the projects taking place 26th February 14-17 pm - this will be online for all groups.

    The teaching format on the class is "Active self study" supported by reading materials, in person flash talks, industrial talks and video lectures.  If you consider to not to participate to the course, please remember to un-register also at Sisu system, so that the position will be opened for other student.
