WELCOME TO TEACHING PRACTICE (PED-9014)!
The goal of the Teaching Practice course is to develop participants' teaching skills. During this course you have an opportunity to try new approaches or teaching methods and receive feedback on your teaching. You will observe your peers' teaching and learn from them. When you reflect on your and your peers' teaching, you develop your teaching competence and yourself as a teacher.
COURSE SCHEDULE:

Wednesday 31.1.2024 at 13-16, at Kide building, room: 1572 Noether
Five small group meetings facilitated by course teachers in February - May
Thursday 23.5.2024 at 13-16, at Otakaari 1, room: U523 Top Lounge
THE COURSE CONSISTS OF:
- 3 joint teaching sessions
- 5 small group meetings: feedback for teaching observations and discussions
- 4 teaching observations: observing your small group members' teaching and providing oral and written feedback on their teaching
- 4 teaching observations: observing other teaching including teaching in upper secondary level (lukio) or university of applied sciences (AMK)
- Your teaching sessions observed by peers
- Compilation of a teaching practice plan and submission of the report including your own teaching philosophy, course design, peer feedback and reflection of observations.
Deadline for the final version of teaching practice report: Mon 20.5.2024
