    This course introduces new product development (NPD) models and explores the various development phases. Students get to familiarize themselves with various methods and tools commonly used for exploration, ideation and concept development in the early phases of development projects. 

    This course consists of theory and practice through in-person sessions, group assignments, and individual assignments

    After this course you will:

    • understand different new product development (NPD) process models and development phases
    • recognize indicators that signify the transition between development phases 
    • be able to apply common methods in early product development, including need finding and ideation tools 
    • be able to define and redefine requirements and constraints
