    A unique opportunity put your hands dirty with real networking hardware! Our course has been ranked several years in a TOP-10 courses' list at ELEC of high quality teaching (2020-2021, 2022-2023 (4,3), 2023-2024 (4,53)). 2023-2024 course got 4,53 from student feedback (scale 1-5)!

    Until 2023-2024 the course code was ELEC-E7330 and with the name Laboratory Course in Networking Technologies.

    Information on this page is concerns the course ELEC-E7331 in the academic year 2024-2025. Teaching period is I - II. Note! There are no lab works in the spring term (periods III-V).

    Laboratory works about transmission and networking technology include communication networks, LANs , routing protocols (OSPF, BGP etc.), VoIP, VPN, DNS, security etc. A single laboratory work consists of a preliminary work, a lab session (5 hours) and final report. In total 5 labs must be done to complete the course. All the work is done in a group of two students - no exceptions.

    You can reserve lab times for your group on the lab works pages (in the menu on the left). Before reserving the first lab, please create your group by enrolling in one of the numbered groups in Group Enrolment with your lab partner.
