Content

The course includes practice-led studio work and is to be taken in combination with fashion and textile design courses. In the course, students are introduced to the design of advanced knitted fabrics and knitwear. Students learn to develop knitwear designs parallel in physical & digital space. The course assignment is linked to the concept designed in the Textile Collection Design, Fashion Collection Design and/or Fashion Collection project course and can be combined with the assignment of the Advanced Printed Fabrics and Finishes Workshop and Advanced 3D-shaping project.
Please note that the course is linked to the courses: MUO-E1079 Textile Design Concept and/or MUO-E1080 Fashion Design Concept and/or MUO-E1076 Fashion Collection Project.
Assessment Methods and Criteria

The final grade for the course is based on student’s attendance and participation in the contact teaching as well as group work and the assignments that the students complete during the course. Students must attend and actively participate in at least 80% of the contact teaching. Introductory session is mandatory.

Overall workload 6 cr = 162 h. Minimum 80% attendance in contact teaching is required.
