LEARNING OUTCOMES
The focus of the course is on perception-based drawing in space. You will be able to observe and draw contours, scale, depth, perspective and tonal values. You will be able to represent all kind of sturctures and different qualities of textures through mark making. You will develop in transferring the visual information into drawing, which becomes at the same time an independently functioning artistic entity.

Content

On site working in different destinations. Working on large scale drawings, in order to relate the space around and the drawing to the physical size of the drawer. How to represent three dimensional -, physical-, and at the same time sensual experience of the space?

Minimum amount of participants is 8 students. Maximum amount of participants is 20 students.
Prioritization order for admission is based on the prioritization criteria established by Aalto ARTS:

After the registration has closed, SISU conducts a raffle to allocate all the seats while considering the possible prioritisation order stated above. If there are more registrants than available seats, ten (10) students from the remaining applicants are drawn and placed on a waiting list in numerical order. On the first day of the course, these students may check for available seats in case of no-shows. Any available seats are then filled in numerical order.
