LEARNING OUTCOMES

The student will be familiar with the most important contractual practices in the audiovisual industry and the relevant legal norms regarding copyrights. The student will recognize the relevant legal framework in the art world.

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    The course presents different types of contracts between the many parties in the audiovisual industry and offers different point of views, also critical ones, to these agreements. The course introduces the legal challenges which come with the ever-changing landscape of new formats and platforms. The content of the course is mostly about the Finnish and continental system of copyright regulation.
