LEARNING OUTCOMES
Discrete Event Simulation (DES). The course gives basic skills for analysis of queuing phenomena through DES. DES models the system as a sequence of discrete events in time where system state changes. System state is not updated between the events, which allows simulation time to jump directly from event to the next event. This is in contrast to continuous system simulation, where system state changes continuously.
