They are able to identify threats, define security requirements, select and integrate technologies into a secure and deployable solution, and critically review security solutions. They understand the need for continuous security assessment and improvement. They also have hands-on experience with several common security technologies.

Content

The students design a security solution for a distributed system with cloud components. Threat modeling, security requirements, solution design, security evaluation including design review and security testing, security monitoring, documentation, best practices, and standards compliance. Varying security technologies.
