LEARNING OUTCOMES
After the course, the student
- has the basic knowledge of most common atomistic and coarse-grained modelling approaches to biomolecular and polymeric systems. The focus is on force-field based, deterministic interactions computational approaches.
- is able to consider soft materials systems at different modelling length and time scales computationally, and extract materials response predictions in terms of assembly and mechanical characteristics by the simplified models.
- can employ the learned modelling principles and approaches to set up and examine computationally e.g. solvation response, intermolecular interactions, self-assembly and physical kinetics, such as diffusion, in simple soft matter systems in solution.
- is able to interpret, design, and test simple soft materials systems responses using computational approaches.
