LEARNING OUTCOMES

After having passed this course the student can:

  • understand the theoretical concepts related to vacuum and gases under reduced pressure
  • understand the dynamics of electromagnetic radiation, heat transfer and electrons in vacuum
  • select appropriate fundamental vacuum components based on system requirements
  • make the most common standard vacuum connections and run a He leak test in practice
