    Phase equilibria and thermodynamic models of non-electrolyte and electrolyte systems,
    energy requirements of thermal separation processes,
    role of unit operations in product purification and solvent recycle,
    modelling and design of unit operations and process simulation techniques.

    Registration:

    Max. 125 students will be admitted to the course. Students are prioritized in the following order 1. Students in the Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering master's programme; in the Chemical and Process Engineering, Biomass Refining and Biotechnology majors; and in the Bioprocess Engineering specialization track. 2. Other students.

    A course implementation may be cancelled if the number of students enrolled to the course implementation does not meet the required minimum of five students. In the case of cancelled course implementations, the students enrolled to them must be provided with an alternative way of completing the course or be advised to take some other applicable course.
