Enrolment options

Please note! Course description is confirmed for two academic years, which means that in general, e.g. Learning outcomes, assessment methods and key content stays unchanged. However, via course syllabus, it is possible to specify or change the course execution in each realization of the course, such as how the contact sessions are organized, assessment methods weighted or materials used.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

After having passed this course the student can:

  • analyze material systems for potential, innovative concepts with thin films
  • indentify the functions of materials that can be engineered by thin films
  • predict how the physical characteristics correlate with thin-film properties and functions
  • select characterization methods for the key physical properties of thin films
  • select the optimal thin-film deposition methods and materials based on the case
