LEARNING OUTCOMES
After the course the student can
-Dimension and select of equipment for mineral processing, taking into consideration the technological and economic constraints of each design
- Apply the principles of unit operations design for mineral processing equipment in the context of metals recycling
- Explain the interaction between the various unit operations in a mineral pro-cessing plant and the specific purpose of each processing unit
- Calculate properties of mineral products after processing operations, while considering the technical and economic issues of grade-recovery curves
