If you missed the whole class: Substitute assignment

1. Write a short presentation of yourself (e.g. name, Aalto school, department and something about yourself) and place your presentation under the front page discussion area named “Discussion forum: questions, comments, wonders…” via “add a new discussion”.
   
   
2. Familiarize yourself with the slides of the first contact session (you will find those on MyCourse). You will find information e.g. about the course practices and timeline.
   
   
3. Familiarize yourself with prototypes of a good university teacher (photos of group work). Write according to your own opinion (approx.1 page) about: What are the elements and capabilities that create ”a good university teacher”?
   
   
4.  What are your objectives/goals for the course? What would you like to develop in your teaching or would you like to develop some skills regarding teaching? Are you interested in special theme or phenomenon related to teaching or learning.
   
   Write down your objectives for the course and write your name to the document (appr. 0,5-1 A4 page)
   
   We will return your learning objectives for you at the last contact session 28.3.2018. Then you can compare how did you reach them, or did you get something else as well.
   
   Contact your peer group and negotiate suitable meeting times/OR check the fixed time from the other members of the group and familiarize yourself to the peer groups theme and objective. You can find your peer group from MyCourses, under “Peer-group working (scroll the page down).
   
   
5.  Familiarize yourself with the home assignment for the next contact session. It is a reading assignment and the materials and instructions can be found from MyCourses under Contact session 1: Assignments for next contact session.
