Homework_1
In exercise 1 you have constructed a Grasshopper definition for a cycloid. The cycloid plays a central role in the definition of the roof for the proposed stadium in Chemnitz by Königs Architects & Cecil Balmond (compare previous page): the structural system is based on intersections of cycloids with varying radii. In this homework 1 the goal is to extend your Grasshopper definition of the cycloid to the given 3-dimensional situation. Your cycloid should lie within the roof surface and move along the outer edge curve. In addition, your cycloid should be a cyclic curve meaning start point and endpoint are the same. Like before, your definition should allow to change the parameter a & b of the cycloid and always be positioned on the outer edge curve and within the roof surface. In the attached Rhino-file you can find the situation.
deadline for submission of the assignment: 1 March 2024 at 23:00!
submission: one zip-file with your grasshopper definition and several screenshots of various parametric settings.
