Assignment 3: Case analysis (emotions and identity perspective) + reflection on provided articles

The assignment consists of two parts:
1. Reflection on given articles (1 page, Font 12, Line spacing 1.0)
Note: Write reflection paper 3 about the following articles: Vaara (2003) and Monin et al. (2013)
- Summarize the key points of the articles (0,5 points)
- Discuss how key points of these articles complement or contradict to each other (0,5 points)
- Discuss whether the points confirm or refute your practical knowledge or intuition (1 point)
2. Analysis of individually chosen case (1 page, Font 12, Line Spacing 1.0)
Analyze your chosen case from the emotions and identity perspective. Aim to answer the following questions:
- What emotions are the PMI process likely to arouse in actors in the case? Why?
- How managers managed or (should have managed) emotions at each stage of PMI?
- What org identity-related issues are likely to emerge in PMI?
- How would you facilitate the new organization’s identification?
