Please update your paper with the latest information that you have. Especially try to start drafting the Methods part.
The main purpose of the methods section is to describe (and if
necessary, defend) the experimental design and provide enough detail
that a competent researcher can duplicate the experiment. This chapter is
"written by an engineer for engineer" and should be, in most cases, the easiest one for
you. If your study does not contain experiments you can anyway describe your system with emphasis on the design process and validation of your choices.
Methods chapter should include:
- System description; this includes the crucial components as well as the working principle of the system. System is not described in the nuts and bolts, circuit diagram/PCB layout level but instead the focus is what are the key components and how they affect the system. What were the special/limiting features of the described components. What are the specifications for key components (actuators, sensors, etc.) Brands are usually not mentioned.
- Testing procedures; you should also describe
specimen that was used/made or produced in addition to the testing rig itself. If
the testing procedure has parameters, why they were chosen, which of them are varied, which observed and what their ranges are should be described. Usually a systematic description of the testing procedure is useful. And testing circumstances.
Other key points to guide the process:
- Use tables for listing the components and diagrams for describing the system.
- Most of the section should be written in past tense.
- This section doesn't usually have references because the section is about what you did.
- Chapter 11 in the "Day.pdf" has more information about methods section.
