    Welcome to test scaled ship and structure models in ice!


    Here, you will get hands on experience on planning, conducting and analyzing model scale tests with a ship or an offshore structure model in model ice. After the course you can scale ship/strcuture and ice condition related parameters (e.g. speed, ice thickness) between scales, have understanding on how the ice conditions are represented in model scale, and how model-scale testing in ice can be applied in the design of a full scale structures and ships. Furthermore, you get understanding on the limitations of model-scale testing in ice. Besides model-scale testing, you will get experience on team working and peer-review.
