  • Welcome to the course!

    ELEC-E7110 gives you a good understanding on recent progress in communications engineering research.

    The course starts with the first lecture on Tuesday 8.9.2020 at 10:15, see page Materials. All the lectures are given remotely using zoom.

    Remember to register for the course using WebOodi.

    Course Structure

    • Lectures:
      Introduction to different research areas containing small exercises and group works. Participation in lectures is mandatory.
    • Project work:
      Implemented in randomly selected groups of 4-5 students. Mandatory.
    • Individual work:
      In the form of individual learning diaries. Mandatory.

    Instructions for Project work and Individual learning diaries are provided in Section Assignments.

    Workshop

    The results of the project works will be presented to the other students of the course in Workshop, which takes place on Tuesday 8.12.2020 starting already at 9 o'clock. The workshop is held remotely using zoom.

    Course Evaluation

    Group members will get a grade from the project work (40 %). Grade of an individual student can be downscaled if he/she is not active! Learning diaries (40 %) will be evaluated individually, and active participation in lectures (20 %) will also affect the final grade.

    Note: Accepted group work, learning diaries, and participation in lectures are required to pass the course.
