For the pretask I ask you to take a minute to introduce yourself to others and share why you took this course. The reasons for taking a course can be very practical (a need for the study points) and this is completely fine, but I also encourage you to think about and share your approach to silence. What thoughts does silence bring to your mind? What approaches do you find interesting? What are you expecting from the course and from the theme of the course?
Introduce yourself in as much detail as you like. Regarding your thoughts on silence, you can write in any style you wish. If your thoughts are more associative or poetic, that is welcomed as much as any other form of writing. You can also add an image or a drawing if that works best.
There is no certain length required for your answer but I ask you to take at least half an hour to think about your approach to silence.
Thank you for sharing!
