05.04. I Mid-review. Concepts & Scope of work. Roundtable.

We will meet in the space J302 at 13:15 and divide ourselves into two groups (and relocate to spaces J302 and Q103) for the I Mid-review. Below the group divisions.

Material for discussion focused on the concept of the design: what is the ’diagnosis’ of the future of the area – how could the area be developed for a sustainable and resilient future? The conceptual ideas have to be presented with site plans and diagrams – what type of spatial expression do ideas have? We will look at least 50 years in to the future, but consider other timeframes and durations (what are immediate changes, how can the area transform to accommodate thousands of new inhabitants in the coming years and few decades, how can the area answer and react to unanticipated challenges in the far future (50year span)). Use and refer to material produced in the Workshops and the literature and presentations from the Lecture series and its assignment materials.

The material should contain the 'Base' drawings (especially analysis, conceptual, site plan, and section drawings + locations for the specific interventions - there should be at least one area that you study more closely / student, so if you are working as a group, as many specific intervetions as there are members in the group) - also include a plan for the scope of further work to be produced (the ’approach’ materials).

We will use pdf/powerpoint presentations for discussing the work. Upload your material in the folder 05.04. I Mid-review before 13:00.
