• It is very likely that have to spell your name every now and then. Therefore it is good to practise it. Learn the phrases and to spell your own name. 
  On hyvin todennäköistä, että joudut sanelemaan nimesi silloin tällöin. Siksi sitä on hyvä harjoitella. Opettele fraasit ja sanelemaan oma nimesi.

• Mikä sinun nimi on? or Mikä sun nimi on? = What's your name?
• Minun nimi on... or Mun nimi on... = My name is...
• Miten se kirjoitetaan? = How do you spell it?
• Se kirjoitetaan... = It is spelled...
  After this phrase spell your first name letter by letter. After finishing the first name, confirm it by saying the first name as it is. Then spell your last name letter by letter. Confirm it by saying the last name as it is. Finally confirm the whole name (first and last) by repeating it once again.

  Teacher: Mikä sinun nimi on?
  Student: Minun nimi on Ville Virtanen.
  Teacher: Miten se kirjoitetaan?
  Student: Se kirjoitetaan V-I-L-L-E Ville V-I-R-T-A-N-E-N Virtanen. Ville Virtanen.
