  • Deadlines for submitting theses for evaluation applications: The administrative deadlines are for submitting applications for 1) submitting the final thesis for evaluation, grading, and archiving in MyStudies and b) submitting a request for graduation in Sisu. It is possible to submit a final thesis for evaluation in MyStudies and apply for graduation in Sisu at the same time.
  • Degree Programme Committee meetings: The DPC evaluates and approves the master’s theses. Approximately a few days after the DPC meeting, the evaluated and approved theses will be registered in Sisu. Approximately a week after the DPC meeting, all the graduation requests will be registered in Sisu.
  • Before you submit the thesis for evaluation, you need to
    • have the supervisor, topic, and advisor(s) approved by the supervisor in MyStudies. Thesis supervisor approval is the starting point for working on your thesis. Apply for thesis supervisor approval in MyStudies as soon as you have agreed to the collaboration with your supervisor. It is not possible to submit a thesis supervisor, topic and advisor approval, and final thesis for evaluation at the same time.
    • consider the submission deadlines according to your graduation and study right. You need to be present as a student when applying for thesis evaluation. This is critical, especially at the end of the semesters in July and December.
    • have given the thesis presentation and completed the maturity essay.
    • discuss the thesis submission with your supervisor beforehand, and take possible holidays (summer, winter) into account when planning the schedule. The supervisors need time to read, evaluate and write the statements of the theses.
