GRADING

Maximum points 20 / 100

Penalty points 2 per day will be subtracted after the final grading

Demo Gala (10 p)

Present your service in the demo gala for other students and course personnel.

Bring your own device (laptop or other suitable device) or contact course personnel if you cannot provide one.

All groups will set up their own stand with laptop. One group member stays in the stand of the group to present, others browse around stands and give feedback to other groups. Change the person who is presenting your service during the gala, so that everyone can present and browse. Note: the presentation format will thus be a poster session, i.e., no slides. However, you may consider preparing a handout A4 (see below).

Optional: Prepare a one page handout that you can show / give to your audience. It can help you present your service and for the audience to follow the presentation. A good handout contains more charts and pictures than text!

Presentation
  • Explain / pitch the idea of your service

  • Who are your users?

  • How does it look like?

  • What is the technical solution?

  • Why did you implement the service?

Get feedback from other groups and course personnel during the discussions. Make notes and make use of the feedback in the final implementation! Write a short reflection summary and submit it to MyCourses.

Updated project plan (max 10 p)

Updated project plan is a separate document that covers the changes in your original project design concentrating mostly on the process. The updated project plan should be at maximum three pages.

Document should contain

  • Updated hour reporting and reflection about how successful were your initial estimates

  • Gantt chart of hours so far and the remainder of the project

  • Updated project plan based on the received feedback

  • Reflection about the current situation and possible problem areas

  • What has changed?

  • Scanned feedback forms from the demo gala (not included in the page count ;)

You do not need to update the whole design document, submit only project plan and some reflection about the project. However, these parts can be used as a part of final document as well.
