You can pass the course two ways:
1. By participating in the lectures and writing an essay (4 credits).
2. By participating in the lectures, writing short notes, and making an artwork in the workshop part of the course (8 credits).

Instructions for writing:

8 credits

A few pages long notes about the lectures that continue your thinking towards the workshop part of the course. You can include also drawings and sketches to your notes. This assignments helps you to remember the most central aspects from the lectures and develops your thinking from ideas gathered during the lectures into an artwork.

4 credits

An essay that reflects some specific aspect from the lectures that inspires you and supports your own theoretical or artistic practice with the sensory theme. Length 2000-3000 words. Please, use also other references for your text and write down your references for example with APA style -> Inside the text: (Spence, 2018), in the references -section: Spence, C. (2018). Multisensory perception. Stevens’ Handbook of Experimental Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience, 2, 1–56.
