Below are different light pollution maps. Choose one or two, and find your home on the map.

  1. Assess the light pollution around your home area.
  2. Look for the nearest site where the situation is better (even if you're living in a relatively dark area, you can always go darker).
    1. In particular, think how you could get there; or if you live near a commuter train stop or a bus line, where could that take train or bus take you?
    2. This is how dark you could easily get, if you wanted e.g. to see the Milky Way better.
