- Search completed theses of your own field from the Aalto Doc archive: https://aaltodoc.aalto.fi/handle/123456789/3.
- You can eg. search by department or search theses supervised by a certain professor (enter professor name as a search term).
- As a reference to the assignment you can also have look at an example list of theses from 2018 and from 2019-2020. (updated 22.1.2021). You can also pick any other thesis from the archive.
- Note, that there are restrictions regarding the use of library to access theses that are not available as full text online. Online theses are available on the above lists or you can also use the Aaltodoc search to find unlisted theses of your interest.
- Choose one thesis for the assignment. Based on the chosen thesis, answer to following questions:
- What is the research problem and the goal of the thesis?
- What research methods have been used?
- Did the author find a solution? What is the solution or the main conclusion of the thesis?
- What was your general impression of the thesis you read? Was it clear and understandable? Was the text fluent to read?
