CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD
Content
Valid 01.08.2020-31.07.2022:
To act as a tutor for a small group of international students, and to introduce them to their studies, study practices and the student life at Aalto. The tutor's task is for their part to see to the reception of international students, as well as to familiarize them with life in Finland. Tutors are trained in conducting group activities, managing interaction between group members and guiding the group. In addition to this, international tutor training familiarizes the tutor with the official administrative processes related to arrival in Finland, as well as the foundations of intercultural communication.
Assessment Methods and Criteria
Valid 01.08.2020-31.07.2022:
Partaking in the tutor training and giving feedback about the training. Active tutoring of the group, and writing a report about the group s activities.
